1/1LC – Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in front, k1, then k1 from cable needle

2/2 RC – A right-cross cable worked over 4 sts – Slip 2 sts onto a cable needle and hold to the back. Helpful Notes to Keep In Mind

When choosing yarn, a yarn with a round profile (3+ plies) will really make your cables pop! Choosing a single or 2-ply, will flatten out the cables. That’s why I chose the 8-ply Aran! 

The optional partial round simply allows you shift the cast on join to the back of your hat. I do all the pretty smoothing and weaving to round off that bump, but it’s still a tiny bit visible, so I don’t want it on my forehead. If this doesn’t bother you, feel free to skip the partial round.
